The Upside of R&R

My R&R will be ending soon, and I will be returning to my daily routine in the sandbox.  R&R creates special opportunities for quality time so I don’t worry so much about money, which is nice.

As of today, everything I set out to accomplish on my R&R is completed and I am just enjoying the last few days of doing nothing:  Some of the things I did while home this time:

  • Took my wife on a romantic getaway without the kids to a special resort.
  • Took my daughter Ice Skating and to see the Hannah Montana Movie.
  • Bought a new (used) car.
  • Did some uniquely Alaskan things.
  • Ate an $85 meal, including a huge Filet Mignon (fulfilled the Eat Real Steak need).
  • Re-organized the basement.
  • Made a playroom for the kids.
  • Got my record in order for the promotion board.

Maybe, if I am lucky I will even get to see my new daughter roll over for the first time.  The next time I see her she will be walking, babbling, and using a sippy cup.
